Formerly Land by Hand, Earthn carries forward a deep respect for folk wisdom and regenerative living—bridging ancestral knowledge with modern, minimalist design. Every piece we create is premium, durable, and built to last, honoring the earth it comes from and the rituals it becomes part of.

We exist to help people slow down, reconnect with nature, and create spaces—indoors and out—that feel intentional, grounded, and alive.

The Roots of Earthn

Earthn grew from a way of life.

What began as Land by Hand—a land design + education media company rooted in permaculture, slow living, and community—has evolved into Earthn: a design-driven studio for regenerative living.

For years, we explored near and far, learning timeless skills from farmers, builders, designers, and everyday folks living close to the land. We have grown food, tended animals, and are actively raising a family, putting permaculture principles into daily practice in our own lives. Through that lived experience, one truth became clear: permaculture is about far more than gardening—it’s about culture, connection, and creating systems that support life.

Earthn carries that spirit forward.

Earthn exists to help people slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and craft lives that feel more intentional. Our work is guided by permaculture design principles—observing first, choosing wisely, and building systems meant to endure.

We specialize in designing and building enduring objects, spaces, and functional pieces that elevate indoor and outdoor environments while honoring the land they come from. Whether modern and minimal or classic and timeless, we approach every project with care, craft, and long-term thinking.

Our work is not disposable. It is meant to become part of meaningful daily rituals—objects and spaces that age well, function beautifully, and support regenerative living at home and on the land.

Earthn is USA-based, located in Northwest Wisconsin near the Twin Cities, and built by grounded designers, builders, and practitioners who live this work every day. We consult, design, and share practical guidance rooted in real-world experience, helping create spaces that work beautifully for years to come.
